Chloe Madeley poses with rarely seen mum Judy Finnigan after former ITV star’s weight loss. She nearly died from a ruptured ulcer — but now Judy Finnigan beams with her daughter Chloe, looking slimmer, healthier, and ready for a new chapter

Chloe Madeley proudly posed with her rarely-seen mother Judy Finnigan, who has stunned fans with her remarkable weight loss journey.

Judy, now 77, looked radiant as she joined Chloe for a family lunch, smiling in a chic white striped blazer and black tee. The former ITV star’s transformation has become a talking point after she shed more than five stone — a change that even surprised her fitness-expert daughter.

Back in 2018, Chloe admitted she had nothing to do with her mum’s weight loss, saying: “I was as surprised as anyone else when I opened the fridge and saw superfood salads and sushi. I thought, what the hell is going on!” She added that Judy had embraced a healthier lifestyle built on raw fish, whole grain salads and soups, without ever stepping foot in a gym.

But Judy also revealed her new outlook came after a terrifying health scare. In 2018, she suffered a ruptured stomach ulcer that nearly killed her. The broadcaster needed two life-saving blood transfusions after ibuprofen triggered internal bleeding. Recalling the horror, Judy said: “I nearly died. It came totally out of the blue, and I only survived thanks to the incredibly fast ambulance crew and emergency treatment at the Royal Free Hospital.”

Since then, Judy has not only slimmed down but also embraced a healthier lifestyle that has left her looking younger and full of energy.

Away from her health journey, Judy and her husband Richard Madeley are plotting a surprising return to business — by moving into the underwear market. Nearly 15 years after their last joint TV project, the pair have trademarked their brand name for a line that could include lingerie, cosmetics, and other lifestyle products.

The couple, who married in 1986 and once co-hosted This Morning and Richard & Judy, have long been a staple of British television. While Judy has stepped back from the spotlight, Richard remains on screen as a co-anchor of Good Morning Britain.
